The Retreat

Slipping, sliding downwards

Or perhaps upwards

To silence

In company - silence

The rush to get here through darkness

Into light, through

Noisy transportation, shifting

Sharply towards contemplation.

 

Slowly settling, seeking

Hesitating, searching for peace.

Then stillness.

Thoughts come and go

Spiraling this way and that.

Then slowly, slowly, stopping

Slipping, sliding upwards -

Nirvanha!
